SICKNESS Biography

Formed in a small town from Kluang, Johor, Malaysia in 1995. first ever line up were Jake (bass & vocals), Azrin (drums) & Baba (guitars). Heavily influenced by the goregrind godz Carcass, all their material were based on Carcass' first cult release 'Reek of Putrefaction', from image to songwriting, to even sound. This line up had released a rehearsal demo in '95. It consists of some very early original songs plus some covers.
This first ever release were only had around 100 copies which were off the shelves in a month. The 2nd rehearsal demo titled 'Ulcerous Intestine' released in '96 was the material that put Sickness in the Malaysian Underground map. Sickness since the beginning wrote songs about the nasty side of medical mishaps and violent gore facts. Blasting beats of intensely soothing gore related symphonies with medical/clinical terms for lyrics.
The same line up then released their 3rd installation titled 'Faecal Disarticulation' demo in '98. This release secured Sickness as the Malaysian Goregrind act.
Sadly the original line up splitted due to other commitments in life and Jake kept Sickness alive by assembling new line up consist of Jake (guitars, vocals), Faizal (drums), Famy (guitars) & Kuma (bass). This new line up released 'Empathological Excavations' in 2003 consisting of 10 brand new songs of goregrind. It was released in cassette format only for unknown reasons and it was completely sold out less than a month. Songs appeared in the tape released were featured in quite a number of compilations released worldwide.
Again, the tape release line up were split again forcing the band to take a long break. Jake brought back the band with the current line up featuring Jake (guitars, vocals), Aizal (bass) and Fad (drums).
This latest line up released a split cd with Japanese cybergrinders Papoconia under Own Control Records in 2008. The released featured 4 totally brand new songs and 2 remixed songs taken from the 'Empathological Excavations' tape release.
